GMC Sierra Denali EV
How it looks on the street: The Sierra EV Denali is a pickup truck that has modern flare and feels like a taking-care-of-business class stay from the outside in. Black glossy elements define the Denali experience.
How it feels on the inside: Denali Is GMC’s top trim and accounts for the high-gloss cigar bar vibes on the interior of this truck. Trucks are made for work, and sometimes that means mobile office work, made possible through the option 5G connection. We appreciate the remote automatic parking for moving all that space. The 14-inch headup display helps center the elevated viewpoint on the road. The UX screen of choice is a 16.8-inch infotainment screen. Rear parking sensors also help drivers navigate tight spaces.
How it drives: It’s got beast mode status, producing 754 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque, and it so so fast and strong. The range is plentiful, offering 400 miles in many use cases between charges, which can be boosted with a range extended up to 460 miles with max range options. Using fast charging, it can be charged with 100 miles of range in about 10 minutes. Super Cruise, GMC’s partial autonomous software, is available. Trucky-features include crab walking, a GMC branded move that lets back wheels move in formation at the front at low speeds.
Space for people and things: Lots of space in this bad boy,. A moving midgate adds 11 feet in the bed by extending into the cabin, and it can tow a whopping 10,000 pounds.
What to compare it to: Ford F150 Lightning, Rivian R1T, and Chevrolet Silverado EV.
How much does it cost: We drove the first edition priced at $97,500.
