How it looks on the street: The Genesis GV80 Coupe is a compelling and delightful two-row counterpart to the mid-size GV80 SUV. It made its debut for the 2025 model year and our 2026 test model reminded us of exactly what we love about this ride. The crescent exterior shape is eye catching and large 22-inch sport alloy wheels draw the eye to the center of the vehicle. For 2026, it adds a slick Prestige Black option that mute out brakes, headlamps, and the grille. It looks great, feels fanciful and is allaround a keeper.

How it feels on the inside: The interior experience centers around an expansive 27-inch screen. Patterns are embossed onto supple Nappa leather seats. A host of safety features includes forward-collision avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, blind spot collision avoidance and rear occupant alert. Power second row seats make for a comfy back seat experience. The Bang & Olufsen stereo was so good we let the little one blast “K-Pop Demon Hunters” six times in a row. On the 26 model, a smartphone-connected digital key system is added in that controls locking function.

How it drives: The engine is a 3.5-liter turbo V6 and 8-speed transmission with an extra 48-volt e-supercharger that supplies a bit of zing. Fuel economy is on average 19 miles per gallon. For the 2026 model year, Terrain Mode for rocky road handling, adding the sport to the utility vehicle category. Our latest 2026 test model included the all-wheel drive option.

Space for people and things: It’s a five seater. The cool looks mean it doesn’t have quite the space of the standard GV80 SUV.

What to compare it to: Porsche Cayenne Coupe and Genesis GV80.

How much does it cost: Our latest 2026 test vehicle was priced at $89,795.
