Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid

How it looks when you see on the street: Mom jeans and minivans. It’s hard to make the mental jump, but once you do, the impact is palpable. For hauling people, crates of records, or whatever you need to do, the minivan is the most logical choice. In fact, I spent much of tweens and teens being driven from school to practice to the roller rink in one of the earlier models. While the basic form stays the same, its all about what’s happening on the inside.

How it makes you feel when you get in: Once inside sit back, relax and enjoy the ride, because the interior is where the Pacifica has it going on in the Pinnacle model with heated and ventilated seats, UConnect theater is chock full of comforts.

How it drives: The blindspots that seem unavoidable in SUVs are a non issue in the Pacifica. Available all-wheel drive make this ideal for slogging through the winter. The gasoline hybrid powertrain is ideal for some fuel-savings and earns 30 miles per gallon.

How much does it cost: The base price is $56,050, and our test vehicle was optioned up to $58,067.
