Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport

How it looks when you see on the street: Around the world, a Bugatti sighting is an event. It’s such a wild looking supercar that its head turning factor is hard to put in context. It’s like coming up close to a movie prop, except its not a prop but a mechanical phenom. The form is meant to be aerodynamic, but squeals exotic.

How it makes you feel when you get in: It feels Like a million — no, three million - bucks. The carbon fiber and alcanterra materials are divine. And that specifically means no screens, just expensive knobs and finishes, or as if you’re sitting inside the inner workings of a watch. The Chiron Pur Sport is timeless.

How it drives: The question is how fast are you willing to go? It’s capable of speeds of 217 miles per hours. To turn on the car you hit a red button marked engine, which feels like a simulation of a rocket taking off. When we blipped the gas pedal on an entrance ramp, we could feel our stomach in our tows. It only takes about two seconds to reach 60 miles per hour. Yet, as soon as you reach speed, the sensation subsides and you have no clue as to how fast you’re really going, like an airplane in flight, due to the massive gasoline-powered W16 engine on board.

Space for people and things: The two seater cabin is plenty spacious for people and the seats coat the body. As a two-seater sport dynamo, its not really a car for lugging things.

Best Features: The thoughtfully embedded tech means that what’s in the car is well covered up to enhance aesthetics and take away from distractions — a much better long term solution for in-car experience to avoid aging as outdated. It’s not trying to broadcast the latest doodads, but use tech for more functional support. The throaty engine sound is deeply satisfying.

What makes it stand out: Exclusivity. The Bugatti Chiron came out in 2016, and this is the latest version with extra icing. There will only be 60 Pur Sports made and 500 Chirons total.

What should you compare it to: It’s in a class all of its own.

How much it costs: It’s brilliant fun to write the price and note that the price tag is $3,788,900
