Infiniti QX60
How it looks when you see on the street: The exterior on the Infiniti QX60 is fresh faced, as the chainlink grille looks more in control and stately in this mid-sized SUV. The Infiniti QX60 upgraded its looks in 2022 and recently tweaked its V6 engine. It’s a three-row SUV that has a distinct form in the space and we give it solid marks for originality.
How it makes you feel when you get in: Inside the QX60 has clever solutions for storage. We like Esnavi’s take on the 2022 model who keyed in on the cabin accoutrements during her ride. “The massaging seats and wireless Apple CarPlay were also a plus. We both were also really impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of the interior.” Safety tech such as Predictive Forward Collision Warning and Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection are great to have in an SUV, where visibility can be an issue. The Klipsch 20-speaker stereo made our warm up songs sound great. Tech includes a 12.3 inch screen equipped with Google functionality. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standards. One cool option is the three-zone system complete with an air purifier.
How it drives: Smoothness and comfort are popular descriptions of the XC60 ride. It has a singular engine and he nine-speed transmission delivers breezy gear shifts. The newest version of its engine improves on gas fuel economy - an impressive 28 miles per gallon on the way. It produces 268 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque.
Space for people and things: It passes the three row test, offering seating for six or seven, depending on the trim level selected. We tested out the model that has the cabin chairs kids prefer so they don’t have to elbow each other.
How much does it cost: Our recent test ride was the Autograph AWD edition priced at $72,600, including a little extra for the tech package and two-tone paint.
