How it makes you feel when you get in: A cozy cabin with excellent ergonomics. True to its Scandinavian rep for excellent use of materials, the S90 doesn’t disappoint. How it drives: The S90 offers a mild hybrid system as its base model, a non-plug-in hybrid drivetrain that is a great stepping stone to a more efficient vehicle. It’s ideal for city dwellers who don’t have access to dedicated charging. The Volvo S90 Recharge variant is a plug-in hybrid option for both gasoline engine and a battery, which gives drivers 21 miles of all-electric range.  

Space for people and things: It’s got a healthy amount of space in the cabin for five adult passengers.

Best Features: Volvo’s standard safety features, as always are impressive. A few highlights includes front and rear seat headrests that adapt in the event of a collision.
