Mercedes-Benz GLS

How it looks when you see on the street: The GLS is Mercedes-Benz fullsize SUV that wears its proportion well.. For 2024, the GLS has a new front enshrined around the Mercedes star and a curvy bumper that still reads as a prominent, full size luxe-mobile.

How it makes you feel when you get in: The GLS feels like the treat it ought to be. It’s quiet and calming and gussied up with soft materials and shiny screens and lots of sweet standard features like a head-up display, heated steering wheel and rear seats, a fragrance and air purification system. Infotainment is aligned with Mercedes’ investment into its tech stack, so lots of bandwidth for an in-car experience. A surrounding camera is a super helpful and safe addition to navigate space around the vehicle when parking.

How it drives: We drove the base GlS450 model. The gas engine earns on average 21 miles per gallon and for the 2024, its infuse 13 more horsepower in the GLS450 for a smooth street handler that handles its size and girth well. There’s also the 580 and the GLS53 (pictured.)

Space for people and things: It seats six or seven. Roomy for passengers of all sizes in all the seating positions. Lots of ways to pack in storage, because the third row also folds flat, so its very beach and mountain friendly.

What to do compare it to: BMW X7, Land Rover Range Rover, Rivian R1S

How much does it cost: My vehicles was priced at $92,510, a slight increase from the $87,000 sticker that included a comfort package and some sport AMG wheels and paint touches.
