How it looks when you see on the street: Bronco Sport marks the return of the rugged, campy Ford, and it lives up to its rep. It’s got the boxy styling that’s beloved by a whole new generation. It’s the smaller version of the reintroduce Ford Broncol

How it makes you feel when you get in: Like a rough rider. There’s something invigorating about the great outdoorsy vibe that comes from Bronco, Jeeps and others of their ilk. Because Bronco is making a return, that vibe feels fresh.

How it drives: Rough and tumble, which is how this segment is meant to operate.

Space for people and things: Upfront the cabin is roomy, but the backseat leaves a bit to be desired. The front seats offer the best vantage point for riding Bronco. The backseats are fine for small kids, but not ideal for adults or big kids.

Best Features: Sync4 is Ford’s new update of its infotainment system and its got all kinds of clever advances including natural voice recognition.

What makes it stand out: The styling has a playful edge to it for a reasonably priced off-roading SUV.
