Audi Q4 E-Tron

How it looks when you see on the street: Audi arrived early to the party when it introduced the Audi E-Tron in 2019. Four years into the market, its made subtle tweaks over time and expanded in shape and size to it portfolio. The Q4 hits that small sweet spot and carries over the brand’s characteristic looks. From the outside it looks like an Audi — and that curb appeal is a good thing for families looking for a sleek getaround vehicle.

How it makes you feel when you get in: The Q5 is just-right on the inside, and the Q4 E-Tron takes a cue from the sleek interior, including thoughtful attractive design throughout and booming with a SONOS sound system.

How it drives: The performance is solid and it offers a range of 265 miles — less than some EVS in this category, but plenty for several days of running around town. It’s smooth and we found the power ample for cruising purposes.

Space for people and things: It’s got a roomy interior that is surprising and pleasing for a party of five.

What Else Is Out There: Tesla Model Y and VW ID4.

How much does it cost: starts at $45,800, a good offering for a luxe ride with a little exra elbow room. Our test vehicle was priced at $60,090.
